Mr. Nils Wegner received the DVM Juniorpreis at the Conference of the DVM Working Group “Zuverlässigkeit von Implantaten und Biostrukturen“

Mr. Nils Wegner has received the “DVM-Juniorpreis“ award for his talk with the title “Validation of an in vitro short-term testing method by evaluating the hydrogen evolution rate and residual fatigue strength of magnesium implants “ within the Conference of the DVM Working Group “Zuverlässigkeit von Implantaten und Biostrukturen“ (29-30 Sep. 2022). Mr. Wegner has developed an electrochemical test method allowing a time-efficient simulation of the degradation behavior and the influence of this on the remaining stability of magnesium-based biomaterials using the hydrogen evolution rate.

The “DVM-Juniorpreis“ award was developed in 2011 and is given to young scientists under 30 years, who presented an outstanding talk within a DVM working group. The award is supposed to the excellent work and motivates for a further engaged research in the future.
