Electropuls® | E20000 All-electric dynamic linear torsion testing machine in the CT building on the North Campus.

The machine allows combined axial and torsional tests under static and dynamic load. It achieves a maximum axial force of 20 kN and a maximum torsional torque of 130 Nm. The purely electric drive enables precise test sequences with low maintenance requirements and without the use of hydraulics.

A special feature is the integrated climate chamber, which allows tests in the temperature range from -100 °C to +350 °C. This allows thermomechanical loads to be simulated and examined in a practical manner.

This expansion of the testing technology, funded by the DFG and MKW as part of INST212/528-1, provides the chair with new possibilities for analyzing the behaviour of materials and components under complex load cases in even greater detail.
