2026 Summer Party at the WPT

This year’s summer party took place on June 12, 2026, at the Chair of Materials Test Engineering (WPT). Despite initially unfavorable weather forecasts, the rain largely stayed away, allowing the event to take place mostly outdoors.

With grilled food, a varied buffet, and cool drinks, employees and their families had the opportunity to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere and spend time together away from the daily work routine. It was especially nice to see former employees and their families. It’s always wonderful to see that the connection to the department endures even after their time at the WPT has ended and that they continue to stay in touch.

Entertainment was provided by various recreational activities such as football, giant Jenga, and cornhole, which drew keen interest from young and old alike and helped foster a sense of togetherness.

Special thanks go to the organizers of the summer party as well as to all the volunteers who contributed to the success of the event through their dedication during the preparation, setup, and takedown.
