Patient-specific, additively manufactured implants with customized functionality for dentistry and orthodontology.

The German Research Foundation (DFG) funded research group 5250 - with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Walther as spokesperson and M.Sc. Jochen Tenkamp as managing director - has started in the second quarter of 2022 and the kickoff meeting of the research network of eight institutions will take place on May 17, 2022. The DFG is funding the research group, entitled "Mechanism-based characterization and modeling of permanent and bioresorbable implants with tailored functionality based on innovative in vivo, in vitro and in silico methods" for an initial four years with about 3.4 million euros.
